GOODBYE FEBRUARY 2019

GOODBYE FEBRUARY 2019

The 28-days lunar month has run out of its course and time again this year. February 2019 is gone and cannot be lived again. Every day has recorded its losses and gains, its trials and victories, failures and success. It is now left to us to move on from the past, build on our successes and learn from our mistakes.

As usual, we are binging out the scorecard and need to grade our performance this month. My main focus for the beginning of the year was to break down my long term goals into medium and smaller sized goals, in order to make them more trackable, feasible and make myself more accountable. I found out that dividing these goals made it look easier and less strenuous. Now instead of dealing with a large issue for a long time before moving to the next, divide it into smaller bits that can last in shorter frames of that time and solve at least two before picking the next. Note that this is quite easier if the two goals are similar and require processes that are not in disparity.

Well, for me, I was able to start a small scale saving scheme. Its still very little but over time I believe it will mature.

At the beginning of the month, I spoke about my Final year project. I always wondered why students always complained about it until I myself started. All the corrections here and there, the submissions and resubmissions, research and typing all combined with other school activities. Feel lucky though, to have the supervisor I was assigned to. Although the stress is there, Im glad to at least get her attention.

Other plans for this month were to build relationships and self-acceptance, so far, I still prefer my solitude but I must say I have learnt a lot from the little exposure I have gotten from the outside world. I have made my picks of what I want, what I can accept, what reflects my personality and the things that I do not want.

The basic flaws for me this month are procrastination and overspending. I really hope to get better of them by next month and be more disciplined.

I encourage you to reflect back and do these things:

  1. Write a list of your achievements.
  2. Write another list of your bad habits this month.
  3. Also, remember to pick what you want and divide your plans into bits.

Divide and conquer.
