10 colours to try out

What is fashion? What are unisex colours? This question can be given various answers based on individuals’ perspectives. Based on mine, I will define fashion as an art, creativity, and a form of expression without speaking. It’s a form of storytelling by confirming or combining colours, styles and patterns. Fashion varies from clothing to accessories to footwear to domestic decorations and so on. In this article, I’ll be sharing 10 unisex colours you can wear.

As we all know, there are principles guiding every art. Fashion isn’t excluded. For instance, you can’t wear a patterned skirt with a patterned shirt or blouse. This means one out of the two will have to be plain unless they are identical (i.e. made from the same material and pattern)

So, talking about unisex colours, everyone has a favourite colour or prefers one colour to the rest of the colours produced in this world. This usually makes us choose some fashion items like shirts, shoes, skirts, bags, trousers and even things we used to decorate homes or offices or even to paint the walls. Some do this intentionally, while others do it unconsciously while buying things like pens, pencils, baskets, bowls, cups, e.t.c

Based on Hallock’s theory, I discovered that there are 10 various colours most preferred by men and women. Though the percentage varies, as shown.

a chart of unisex colours you can wear chart for both male and female

10 Unisex Colours You can Try Are:

1. Blue

2. Red

3. Yellow

4. Green

5. Orange

6. Purple

7. Brown

8. Grey

9. Black

10. White

Some of these colours are warm, cool and neutral. There are some that could be combined together and some that can’t be combined. It has been observed that the colour ‘blue’ is most preferred by both males and females and this is absolutely true. When people are asked about their favourite colour, the majority answer is ‘blue’ and it’s also observed that the male gender does not like the colour ‘purple’. While the female gender doesn’t really like the unisex colours ‘grey’ and ‘white’. But based on recent trends, the rate at which both genders use or wear white-coloured things has really increased greatly.

So, in my own opinion, I think white, black and blue have become more preferred unisex colours by both genders. What’s your opinion about this? Please share in the comment section below.
