I finally featured Anjie’s Accessories. Today, we will have the HD Startup Interview with Anjie’s Accessories. I am particularly excited about this brand because I have followed through on her journey from conception to this point. Trust me, when I say this interview only covers the basics. However, dive in and get an experience of Anjie’s Accessories.

Tell our readers about you and your business?

My name is Olawuyi Abiola, I’m the founder of Anjie’s Accessories. Anjie’s Accessories is aimed at creating hair solutions for people. I believe the hair is a beautiful part of you that should be cared for. I also think our accessories makes part of our style, it makes it unique. We provide hair accessories and hair care tips that help protect your hair and makes your hair journey easier and more enjoyable.

What is the story behind the creation of Anjie’s Accessories? How long has your business been running?

Basically, the need to protect and style my hair. We can wear clothes but our style is different and accessories play a huge role in determining our style. They’re unique to us. Making these options easily available is something I wanted to do.

What has your experience been running a business like yours in Nigeria? What is the best and worst part?

It’s difficult, but I’m happy I’ve had people who have helped along the way. Some materials needed are not easily found, it’s one of the most frustrating things. I think the best thing is knowing you put in the effort and it came out well and that the customer gets satisfied.

Where do you see Anjie’s Accessories in the next 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, 5 Years from now?

I took a break so in the next month I’m hoping to set the ball rolling fully again. Looking long term, I think we’ll be adding more products to our list of products. I’m also hoping to build a brand, a franchise, out of this.

Since you conceptualised this idea, what has been your biggest lesson?

Be confident. Some things look scary, some things will look difficult, but you should have the confidence to try.

What do you need to take your business to the next level? And why should investors buy into your business?

Well, money is important. I smile as I say this, but it’s true. Another thing is time. I’m learning things don’t happen all at once and it’s what we do that shows us that time has truly gone by. With time, things will fall into place.

Anjie’s Accessories cares for what’s best for every customer, the needs of their hair. I like to think about every single strand, and imagine if it was my hair that was put in something I produce, would it be beneficial? So I take everything into account for the benefit of the customer.

What’s your advice for those willing to tow in this line?

Have patience. Give value. And let people see why some of these things are needed.

Finally, what should we expect from Anjie’s Accessories?

Like I’ve earlier said, more products from line and expansion as well. We’d love the chance to reach more people.
