Am I wise just because I know? A friend once said to me… “It is knowledge if you know that a cherry is a fruit, but knowing that you cannot add a cherry to a fruit salad is wisdom.”
I puzzled within me, “Does knowledge really guarantee wisdom?” I hereby come to the conclusion that the right application of knowledge is wisdom.
Lately, this has helped me to understand human actions better and complain less when I see that things I would rather consider stupid are done around me.

How To Ask Yourself, ‘Am I Wise?’
People are only an embodiment of the knowledge they carry. You can only act in accordance with what you know. If you don’t know how to drive and you have bought a Ferrari or even a Porsche, you still wouldn’t drive it.
On the other hand, because you know something, does it mean you’ll use it wisely? Many have money but don’t know how to live with it. So, the money is mismanaged.

Listen, people, wise sayings could show or point to wisdom, but are they wisdom? I live with people who give these wise sayings often, and I know some of them by heart. Therefore, I could tell you wise sayings without actually applying them.

So, does knowledge guarantee wisdom? Nah!! But you do need to have knowledge to be wise. Don’t just stop at acquiring knowledge.
