Today, I will be talking about consistency. Did you know it is as thick as honey? Although I am lying on my bed late in the evening, obviously drafting a post that I had intended to have dropped in the early hours of the morning, I find myself somehow doing it now.

What’s consistency being as thick as honey about?
Have you ever had the need to do something, yet for some reason or another, you just find yourself held back? Or do you actually start something, and then the urge to stop just comes? Well, I have been there and done that. Remember, at the beginning, I said I had pushed back starting a blog for like three years. Well, here I am now… If you missed that, check here. How I eventually started HoneyDrops
After starting, I felt like stopping. It’s kind of crazy. However, I still find myself doing this for no obvious reason. Well, I’d like to pour out my mind to the world before it gets cramped up. I’d love to have that online experience, reach out to the world and touch minds as well. The three years I wasted – I’d like to use another three years to make up for that and find out if I made the right decision or not. Hopefully, we all get to come back and tell our three-year story… That’s a new journey unfolding.

That being said, here in Nigeria, one of the ways to test the quality of honey is to check its consistency. Too thin is an issue; too thick is also another issue. It has to be just thick. Yes, just thick. This brings us back to consistency. It has to possess this tight, constant dropping speed. Not runny, not stiff.
Generally, run at a determined pace, looking forward and staying positive; just do what you do. Do not listen to naysayers. Some of them would never get the balls to do what you do.
“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
Take these few tips:
- Start at something you love
- Do not listen to naysayers
- Of course, take active and constructive criticism
- Keep up the good work; it’ll eventually pay off
- Have faith
- Develop yourself
- Don’t get lazy or complacent.
Good honey that’ll last has the consistency required to last through adverse adulteration and keep its quality. Mix with the world but don’t lose savour…
