My big advice for today is to act now; don’t wait. It’s been a very long while, but if you live in my part of Nigeria, you’ll understand half of my frustrations. You can’t even deal. We are still pushing; we definitely won’t be stopped or deferred. You know, despite all challenges, I kept getting renewed hope; it’s not so easy to try or keep trying, most especially when there’s no reason to try.

Over the past week, I have been learning a lot of tolerance and patience, and yes, I said I’d try new things. Yes, I did, and what I learnt was, ‘Don’t stop trying.’ Don’t be afraid to try out new things. It’s very crazy, but after saying I’ll learn new things. I got limited by my fear, but at the very instant where I started pushing against that fear, I found it kind of easy to break out, develop and even push more boundaries than expected. I have lost a lot of my fears, and now, I realise that being afraid to try is more draining and self-exhausting than not trying.

Why ‘don’t wait’ is an important practice to try.
You’ll never know your strength if you don’t try. And yet you’ll keep beating yourself down; you keep on wondering if you could have achieved a lot if you had risked it. You’ll never know if you do not try.
I got offered a position; I just had to go for the interview, but I didn’t go. I prayed for another chance; fortunately, I got another, and I went for the interview. I am hoping the best comes out. At least I know that I tried.
Just try. You’ll lose nothing by trying. You’ll lose a lot by thinking too much. Just imagine if Christopher Columbus had never tried to sail; he would never have discovered America, and of course, someone else would. Stop losing opportunities that will cause you to grow and achieve all of your dreams. Believe in yourself that you are the best that you can be.

For me, in less than 3 months, I have learnt that, and I keep seeking new ways to grow. I may not have all that I want now, but I am not limiting myself anymore. I have started picturing myself where I want to be. Not wasting any time to see myself get there. Do not just imagine. Become. Take proactive steps. Do not wait to be discovered. If you don’t find yourself first, you’ll not be found by others. I used to think about what I have to offer, who’d listen to me, what I know I am saying, but I know I am saying a lot.
Don’t wait. Do it.
