WHAT EXACTLY DO MEN WANT?

It’s all so crazy that you can offer a guy your head on a platter coated with gold with generosity, kindness and goodwill screaming at the top of their voices, but he will never appreciate it. Then, you begin to ask yourself, ‘Why?’ What exactly do men want? You question yourself and your actions and become overly self-critical. But the question is, ‘Is it worth all that trouble?’

You know that you can question yourself all year, and you’ll never find an answer.

Many Nigerian women or ladies believe that great cooking skills are the solution, but if it is so, many men would have gotten themselves a restaurateur. Though food remains a way to a man’s heart. The notion remains. After all, women of a certain tribe have been known to take other women’s husbands in Nigeria, so much so that women of other tribes are wary of them.

Or is it sex? Well, if it were that, commercial sex workers would have their hands full.

Or maybe a baby? Then, we’d wonder how and why “baby mamas” never click with a man.

At times, money, love, beauty or even a good character can’t keep a guy, so what?

People fail to notice that there’s a difference between a guy (who has no belt to his waist) and a man.

There’s also a difference between just any man and a real man. Someone might say, ‘What do I know?’

What Exactly Do Men Want?

But there’s the truth: a real man knows what he wants and won’t toy with your emotions. You can give just any man all you have, and he’ll never return the gesture. A real man knows what he wants and if he can’t get it from you. He’ll leave you and leave your peace of mind and good judgment with you. You don’t have to run around chasing a guy who has nothing to offer you; meanwhile, you are a gold mine of wealth.

The sweetness that oozes out of you, the beauty that radiates and a soul that can break just any rock.

Anyone who wants you wants you, for who you are, who you have been and who you are yet to become.

I read the story of a popular Nigerian celebrity who bleached her skin to satisfy her boyfriend since he had a taste for light-skinned ladies, but guess what… he still went ahead to cheat on her and with a dark-skinned lady. Bleaching her skin is one of her regrets to this day. But she can’t take that back.

Don’t lose sight of or lose hold of who you are just to get a guy; hold firm to what you are and what you believe in. Don’t tighten your grip on just any guy.

Some men are just so insatiable, greedy and stingy. Most do not even know what they want.

• Do not hold on tight to the wrong person
• Set your priorities straight.
• Develop yourself before trying to fix a guy’s life.
• Discover your purpose.
• Set goals for yourself and achieve them.
• Don’t tie your happiness to a man.
• Get for yourself a real man.
